about the works:

  "The highs and lows of historical feminine achievement, and the place of women in current cultural and social spheres, is something that continually shades my work. The drawings presented here are part of the work series entitled "classified".
  Here I am arranging nude forms drawn to mirror vintage 50's era erotica together with veterinary skeletal studies, allowing primal sympathies to blatantly overtake any intellectual nature. The drawings are subsequently titled after names I randomly selected while skimming through phone sex classifieds.
  By creating a composite out of visuals that lend themselves to categorization - animal anatomy and a stereotyped style of nudity - I try to address the human tendency to classify all observations. The drawings aim to bring this normally subconscious process to the viewer's attention."
